Written by Ali Sedighi, MBALast updated:

HVACJobs.ca exists because HVAC contractors kept telling us the same thing: we could fill their schedules with customers, but they could not find the technicians to send. So we turned the marketing methods we use for HVAC customer acquisition toward recruiting. We are a marketing service, not a job board, not a staffing agency and not an HVAC contractor.

The company

HVACJobs.ca is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies. It is a Canadian group with its head office in Vancouver, British Columbia, and HVACJobs.ca takes on HVAC employers from coast to coast to coast.

  • Sedighi.ca is Ali Sedighi's own consulting practice, covering growth, marketing and technology. Conv.ca, BusinessConsulting.ca and Trades.Agency belong to it, and so do the two HVAC brands closest to this site, HVAC.Agency and HVAC.Digital.
  • SAZ.ca (Strategy & Acceleration Zone) handles the group's strategy, AI and revenue acceleration consulting in Canada, with Ali Sedighi as its Founder & Managing Partner.

Within the group, HVACJobs.ca belongs to the HVAC.Agency family, which focuses on marketing for heating and cooling companies. That matters for recruiting: the people writing your job ads already understand dispatch boards, service agreements, heating-season surges and what separates a good service tech from a parts-changer.

Ali Sedighi, MBA

Ali Sedighi leads HVACJobs.ca. His MBA is in Technology Management. He began in 2007 by founding ONE.ir, a full-service digital marketing agency, which gives him 17+ years in the field. He now lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Since then he has founded Conv.ca, which specialises in conversion-rate optimisation, and MyAutomation.ca, alongside his role at SAZ.ca. His clients have included businesses in Canada, the USA and Dubai.

In HVAC specifically, he has built 150+ live HVAC websites. The portfolio includes CombiBoiler.ca, GasBoilers.ca, Roma Heating & Cooling, HeatLand and BCWide.ca. Those sites were built to win customers, and the results page explains what that experience brings to recruiting.

How we work

We work the way a good service manager runs a call: diagnose first, fix the cause, then check the result.

  1. Diagnose. We look at your last three job ads, your website, where your current techs came from and why your last few hires left. Most of the problem is usually visible within an hour.
  2. Fix the foundation. Clear job ads, a careers section you own, and Job Bank postings that match. See the services page.
  3. Add reach. Paid recruiting campaigns, apprentice outreach and crew referrals, in the order your situation calls for.
  4. Measure hires, not clicks. Every applicant call, text and email is traced to its source, and the monthly report shows cost per qualified applicant and cost per hire.

You stay in charge of every hiring decision. We never screen, interview or place candidates, and every application reaches you directly.

What we will not do

Being clear about limits protects you and us:

  • No job listings or applications on this site. HVACJobs.ca is not a job board.
  • No placement or per-hire fees. We are not a staffing agency. Our fees are for marketing work, set out in your proposal.
  • No wage recommendations. You decide pay. We make sure it is stated clearly.
  • No employment-law or immigration advice. We summarise official rules and link to them. For immigration, talk to a licensed RCIC or lawyer.
  • No HVAC work. We don't install, repair or service equipment, and we never compete with our clients for jobs or for technicians.
  • No promises of hires. We can promise a clear plan, honest reporting and steady improvement, not a set number of hires.

Positioning in one line

HVACJobs.ca is a digital marketing and business consulting service that helps HVAC companies in Canada recruit technicians, installers and apprentices; we are not an HVAC contractor, a staffing agency or a job board.

Why an HVAC-only recruiting service

General recruiting marketers write for every industry, which means they write for none in particular. A technician reads an ad and knows within seconds whether the writer understands the difference between a gasfitter and a refrigeration mechanic, or between residential service and rooftop work. We only write for HVAC, refrigeration and heating employers, so the ads sound like they came from someone who has stood in a mechanical room.

Talk to us

Call, text or email, and you will talk to a senior strategist, not a call centre. The contact page explains what to include in your first message, and the pricing page shows the plans.
